RBS appoints Alberto Gallo as Senior European Credit Strategist

The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) plc today announced the appointment of Alberto Gallo as Senior European Credit Strategist. Mr Gallo will focus on developing innovative investment strategies across the European high-grade and high-yield bond and CDS markets. Based in London, Mr Gallo will report to David Simmonds, Global Head of Research and Strategy.
Commenting on the appointment, Mr Simmonds said: “We are delighted to welcome Alberto to RBS. This appointment will add significantly to our client offering in European Credit Strategy".
Prior to joining RBS, Mr Gallo was a Global Credit Strategist at Goldman Sachs and previously founded and subsequently ran the Global Credit Derivatives Strategy team at Bear Stearns. He began his career in investment banking at Merrill Lynch in London in 2003. He holds an Economics MSc from Bocconi University in Milan and attended the Goizueta Business School at Emory University in Atlanta. Mr Gallo is a CFA charter holder and an alumnus of the F. Morosini Naval Academy in Venice, where he headed the 'Andromeda' class.
Mr Gallo’s appointment is with immediate effect.
